His brow furrowed at her reply. It was hard to reconcile the idea of anything 'dark' and Rey in the same sentence. All Poe had ever seen in her was good. But did it really sound any more unlikely than those glimpses and feelings the nightmares gave him? As she had said, where there was light there was also darkness. There couldn't be a balance without both existing.

Honestly, it was all almost too philosophical for him to get his mind around, at least at the moment.

When he suddenly found her arms around him his own concerns faded away and Poe focused on her, his arms reflexively wrapping around her. "Hey, it's okay. I'm right here." Poe wasn't sure what prompted the surge of emotion from her but he would be there for whatever she needed. He turned his head to press a kiss to her hair, tightening his arms around Rey to hold her protectively. "I'm not going anywhere, Rey." he assured her softly.
