She hasn't tried to mentally influence him yet, though it's next up on her list of things to try once he's not pointing a gun at her. Or it was, until he tries to attack. The Force gives her enough warning to dodge the blow and roll away from him as she instinctively pushes with the Force to try to throw him off balance as well. If he's going to use violence she doesn't have a choice.
