He continued to give orders for a moment before he felt the connection between them prickling in the back of his mind and suddenly he was aware of Poe's focus, of his emotions and he turned, dismissing the men he'd been speaking to so he could reach out to Poe. He stepped into his space, resting a hand on his shoulder and locking eyes with him. "You are safe, Poe. I told you, nothing will happen to you here while I am in charge. I would never allow anyone to hurt you." He murmured softly, squeezing his shoulder before motioning for the man to follow him.

"Until your quarters are prepared you can remain in mine. It shouldn't take too long, but I figure it might be easier for you to be somewhere away from the troops and anyone you might not feel comfortable with at first. And this way you won't have to worry about seeing Hux either. You'll be safer for now at least until it is clear with everyone that you are not a prisoner. You are here as my guest."
